April is from the small town of Meaux, Louisiana. She grew up with a father that was alcoholic and lost his battle to addiction by suicide. She began struggling with her own addiction very early in life, starting with pain medication, and then alcohol, then meth. Her addiction changed with whatever drug was available.
April came to The Grove Recovery Center in March of 2023, as her life became such a downward spiral in the darkest of rabbit holes. April states that her 2 sons and daughter-in-law gave her the inspiration she needed to seek the light, the solution and The Grove to overcome her addiction and darkness.
She believes God has called her to work at The Grove to share her experience, strength and light. April is also a proud grandmother of one girl ,Rosalie and has a grandson on the way.
April states she believes in what we stand for at the Grove!
