On Thursday, 8/5/2021, The Grove at Ascension opened its’ doors to the public. At 11:00am, clients began admitting for treatment to the new facility, filling the space with excitement and hope to find a new way to live. All staff were anxiously awaiting their arrival, welcoming them onto the beautiful, serene campus. Clients will have a full day of treatment once admitted including therapy groups, education, lectures and activities to introduce them to their new recovery life. This grand opening has been long-awaited, with staff members working over the last several months to not only get the physical property pristine, but to also develop an award winning program. The Grove at Ascension welcomes clients from Ascension Parish and surrounding areas, providing them with the beginnings of a full continuum of care, starting with medical detox and residential treatment for those sufferings with substance abuse disorders, as well as those that are dually diagnosed with both mental health and substance abuse disorders. Clients are then encouraged to continue their journey, transitioning to the Baton Rouge campus for Intensive Outpatient services as well as optional placement in one of our many sober living homes.
